Moving Forward: Tales of a Pioneering Female Sportscaster
Teresa Hergert-Kruze was a trailblazing female sportscaster in Canada during the 1980’s and 1990’s. She was one of the first women in the country to cover sports on television and anchor a nightly sports highlights show. Hergert was known for her extensive knowledge of hockey, but she also covered other sports such as baseball, football, car racing and several Olympics. Her passion for sports and dedication to her craft inspired many young women to pursue careers in sports media.
